Frisco Youth Journalism Society is an exciting opportunity for young writers, reporters, and media enthusiasts to explore the world of journalism. Our club is dedicated to fostering a passion for storytelling, critical thinking, and effective communication among teens.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower teens to express their voices through various forms of media, develop their writing skills, and gain a deeper understanding of current events and social issues.
What We Do
Writing Workshops: Participate in hands-on workshops to improve your writing and reporting, receiving feedback from various persons of experience.
Publishing Opportunities: Contribute to our club’s newsletter and blog, and find opportunities to submit to national competitions and literary journals
Community Projects: Engage in projects that highlight local issues and promote awareness within our community, as well as form a cohesive and communicative bond with others.
Guest Speakers: Learn from experienced journalists and media experts who share their insights and experiences.
Who Can Join?
Youth Journalism Society is open to all students from Grade 6-12 who have an interest in journalism, writing, or media. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting, everyone is welcome!

If you're interested in joining the Teen Journalism Club, please attend our first meeting on February 8, 5pm at Jax's lounge. Bring your ideas and enthusiasm!
