Stanley in the book is the fourth Stanley because his father and grandfather and great grandfather were Stanley one, two, and four, and camp green lake was the biggest lake in Texas 110 years ago but now it is almost dried up. Stanley was brought to the camp and he had his own hole. He meets other friends named Hector and Zero and other people at the camp called Katherine and a guy who sells onion and there is a boat called Mary Lou too and there is a character named Kate Burlow which is a one who falls in love with the onion seller guy and she was a school teacher but she died because she laughed too hard…
This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelneats who is cursed. Stanley was cursed at anytime and anywhere. He was bullied in his school, and he even accidentally picked up the shoes of Clyde Livingston stolen by someone. Then, he was framed and arrested by the police. He had a choice to select to go to the jail or Green Lake, so he decided to go to the Green Lake. After he arrived, he had to dig a hole each day, and he had to tell to the counselors right away if he find something. In the camp, he made a friend with a boy named Zero. Stanley Yelnats is an ordinary boy who lives with his father and mother. One day a pair of sneakers drops on top of him. Suddenly, he was arrested by the police for stealing. It turns out these sneakers belonged to a famous baseball player named Clyde Livingstone. Stanley was sent to Camp Green lake in the middle of a desert in Texas. Each and every day the boys who were at the camp had to dig holes to build character. In Stanley’s group there were a few other boys. Their names were Zero, X-Ray ,Squid, Magnet, Armpit, and ZigZag.
